This segment of the project work intends to create a methodological infrastructure for micro-credential recognition in Europe, complementing already existing European recognition and transparency instruments. The specific aims of the activities are to:

  • identify current barriers to micro-credential accreditation and recognition through a series of interviews with key stakeholders & decision makers;
  • propose the idea of a ‘module supplement’, modelled on both the diploma supplement and the credit-outline for a single ECTS, as a transparency instrument for micro-credentials, and discuss this idea widely with stakeholders;
  • reach consensus amongst European stakeholders and policy makers on a way forward to micro-credential recognition.
